Advisory service and fee

Our business model has a two-tier structure:

1. Fee (one-off and flat rate)
The AIRboard algorithm translates your financial strategy into customised budgets and financial products. Based on your financial possibilities, you receive a comprehensive evaluation and an individualised finance concept with all relevant investment and financial products. AIR GmbH does not receive any remuneration in connection with the selected investment and financial products.

2. Intermediary services agreement based on implementation request (brokerage mandate)
You have two options for implementing your financial strategy:

  • You can implement the investment and financial strategy independently or with a financial service provider of your choice.
  • You can commission AIR GmbH with the implementation, in which case (notwithstanding section 1 above) we receive a commission from the product provider for the successful brokerage of an insurance contract. This commission is not payable separately by the customer to AIR GmbH; it is included in the insurance premium. In relation to the brokerage of an investment portfolio, AIR GmbH receives an ongoing advisory fee based on the volume of the investment. AIR GmbH does not receive any additional remuneration (premiums etc.). Any commission payments received from the investment portfolio are returned to the investors minus payment of a settlement fee to the bank. AIR GmbH does not receive any other remuneration in connection with the brokerage mandate.

Information on issuers and providers for whose financial investments brokerage or advisory services are offered: Our brokerage and advisory services cover the full range of financial investments available on the German market, insofar as this is permissible within the framework of the official authorisation as a financial investment broker/advisor pursuant to section 34 f) of the Trade, Commerce and Industry Code (Gewerbeordnung – GewO).

Information on remuneration for financial investment advice and brokerage:

In connection with investment advice or brokerage, remuneration may be paid by the investor or by third parties (product providers) in combination. This depends on the wishes and needs of the investor and the financial products brokered. Insofar as the remuneration components are paid by the investor, this shall be done in accordance with the remuneration agreement to be concluded separately. Insofar as payments are provided by third parties (product providers) in connection with investment advice or brokerage, these may be retained.

Information on sustainability risks accounted for in advisory activities (Art. 3, 4, 5 Taxonomy Regulation):

We do not currently pursue a stand-alone sustainability strategy
We offer and broker sustainable insurance and investment products.

In the context of selecting insurance companies and insurance products, as well as investment companies and investment products, we only take into account the information provided by the insurance and investment companies. Comprehensive information is not currently available from every insurer and investment company. We can therefore bear no responsibility for the accuracy of such information.
The respective insurer and the respective investment company provide information about any consideration of sustainability risks in investment decisions as part of their pre-contractual information.

At present, technical regulatory standards from European supervisory authorities as well as information from the insurance and investment companies are still lacking which would enable a detailed examination of which adverse effects on sustainability factors exist and how these can be included in the advice.

Due to the currently limited information provided by the insurance and investment companies, these aspects are currently not a standard consideration in the advisory services.

When providing advice, we take into account the main adverse impacts on sustainability where possible. These considerations are based on the information provided by the insurance and investment companies with their products.

We are monitoring further developments and will develop our own sustainability strategy in due course, in particular addressing adverse impacts on sustainability as a standard feature of advisory services.

Our remuneration for brokering insurance and investment products does not differ depending on whether or not the recommended product takes sustainability risks into account.

The remuneration of our employees or sub-brokers does not vary depending on whether or not the recommended product takes sustainability risks into account.

What are sustainability risks?
Sustainability risks (so-called ESG risks) are events or conditions relating to the three areas: environment, social and governance, the occurrence of which could have a negative impact on the value of the investment. These risks can affect individual companies as well as entire industries or regions.

Examples of sustainability risks
Environment: As a result of climate change, increased extreme weather events could pose a risk. This risk is also called physical risk. An example of this would be an extreme drought in a particular region. As a result, water levels of transport routes such as rivers could drop to such an extent that the transport of goods is impaired.

Social: In the social sphere, risks could arise, for example, from non-compliance with labour law or health protection standards.

Governance: Examples of risks in the area of (corporate) governance include dishonest tax practices or corruption within companies.
